Ravenna Restoration
This project is a complete interior and
exterior renovation and restoration of a classic tudor house in
Seattle’s Ravenna neighborhood.
The house and garden had been badly neglected,
and major repairs to the basic structure were necessary. The ground
floor public spaces were entirely reconfigured to provide a more
spacious entry and, most importantly, a better relationship between
the garden, south-facing kitchen and dining room.
In deference to the neighbors’ concerns
about a new addition in the back, we modeled the new addition and
studied the effect of shading on the neighboring garden.
